Vanilla Ice Cream

It’s believed that vanilla ice cream was introduced to the United States by Thomas Jefferson who discovered the recipe in France. And we were impressed when he wrote the Declaration of Independence!

Ingredients:

  • 3 large egg yolks, beaten slightly
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup Southern Cane Pure Cane Sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • Directions
